It has a 8.9-inch multi-touch screen, Intel Atom Z540 handle and control (1.86 GHz), 2 GB of memory and 64 GB SSD hard drive. This HP Win7 Slate can be used in hospitals, restaurants or companies and business firms. It comes with a Block, stylus, and leather case and costs around $799 only.

- Built-in HD decoder chip: HP Slate 500 does not support 3G and hence it seems to lack freshness. But then, HP Slate 500 has a built-in Broadcom HD decoder chip, so you can watch high-definition video smoothly. Although the Slate 500 with high resolution of 8.9-inch screen and 1024 x 600, HD movies look cool with a certain degree, but is not enough. But the HP has included in-built HDMI (in addition to two USB), to facilitate high-definition video and audio output.
- Built-in dual cameras: In addition, Slate 500 has 2 built-in cameras, one is at the back with three million pixel camera and the other is at the front with VGA video camera. The body has a I/O port with a micro SD card reader, a USB and 3.5 mm headphone jack, as well as its body weight is 680g. HP Slate 500 is currently available in United States and will be available in rest of the world in next few months.
