CES has had no shortage of new gadgets for the Geekdom introduced and one I am pretty impressed with is the Asus Eee Slate, which is now available for pre-order through the Microsoft Store.
Though slightly high priced compared to other devices with a pre-order price-tag of $1099.00 it does present itself with some boastful features:
- 12.1-inch capacitive pressure-sensing multi-touch LED-backlit HD display delivers brilliant HD entertainment and intuitive navigation
- Less than one inch thick and made with ultra-tough Gorilla Glass to ensure easy portability and robust durability
- 64 GB of data storage
- 175-degree viewing angle lets you conveniently share photos, video, and content from all sides
- Electromagnetic stylus with Windows 7 pen support provides accurate writing and drawing
- Intel Core i5-470UM processor with Intel HD graphics brings energy-efficient multitasking performance and 1080p HD playback
- Flash 10.1 support offers video playback from your favorite websites
- Wireless N and Bluetooth v3.0 deliver high-speed connectivity to the Internet and file transfer to other devices
One of its best features is that it's got full Flash 10.1 support, so you can watch YouTube videos, videos embedded in Facebook, and all the other rich content across the web that requires Flash.
Part of why it looks so great is the display's ultra-tough yet ultra-thin Gorilla Glass, which protects it from the rough treatment that mobile devices can get-drops and spills. But the glass is also pressure-sensitive, making its digitizer with Windows 7 pen support more accurate for drawing and note-taking.
If your hands are twitching to be one of the first to own the Slate you can head over to the Microsoft Store and Preorder yours today.
